The suspected motive is that the Night Wolves Motorcycle Club did not want any Russian motorcycle clubs to align with groups from the USA. “Bandidos Zelenograd” patches were discovered as part of a police search of the clubhouse after the fight. Tri Dorogi MC member Yuriy Nekrasov is later charged. The Night Wolves Vice President Aleksandr Benyush said they were not going to take revenge on Nekrasov. “He is not our enemy. Our enemy is the ideology that the Bandidos MC and Mr Nekrasov fell victims to”.

The Moscow Times newspaper reported “A show staged by the Night Wolves in 2013 featured a character representing the Statue of Liberty kidnapping Russia’s snow maiden, Snegurochka, in an attempt to ruin Russia. The show ends with Russian forces triumphing and the hero proclaiming in a poem with apparent religious undertones that the country will defeat its foes no matter how hard foreign believers try”.

Satan’s Choice MC (Motorcycle Club)

Satan’s Choice MC is an outlaw motorcycle club founded in the 1950s in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Satan’s Choice MC History

Satan’s Choice had existed as a club since the 1950s in Toronto, however they were not an outlaw motorcycle club until 1965. In 1965 four clubs came together to form Satan’s Choice Motorcycle Club. These clubs were the Canadian Lancers MC, Phantom Riders MC, Throttle Twisters MC and the Wild Ones MC.

Bernie Guindon would become the first President of Satan’s Choice, he previously had held the role of President in the Phantom Riders Motorcycle Club. In later years he would go on to become the National President of Satan’s Choice.

At one point in time during the late 1970s the Satan’s Choice Motorcycle Club was believed to be the largest outlaw motorcycle club in Canada, followed by the Popeyes Motorcycle Club (who were allies of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club). At their largest they had around 200 members across 13 chapters in Ontario and Quebec.

In 1975 Satan’s Choice became allies of Outlaws MC, a move which would see the Hells Angels become enemies of Satan’s Choice.

In 1976 Satan’s Choice President Bernie Guindon was sent to prison, ultimately resulting in a number of the Satan’s Choice chapters patching over to the Outlaws MC in July, 1977.

With the chapters which were heavily allied with the Outlaws now patched out of the club this left an opportunity for Satan’s Choice to go in a different direction. President Andre Wattel decided that the remaining Satan’s Choice chapters would patch over to the Hells Angels, a move which was followed through on 29 December, 2000. Many other clubs in Ontario also patched over to the Hells Angels including Lobos MC, Loners MC and the Para-Dice Riders MC.

1983 – Police raid a lab in Mandoc, Ontario and seize chemicals used in the production of methamphetamine, enough to make an estimated $3.6million of the drug. Members of Satan’s Choice MC and Para-Dice Riders MC are arrested as part of the operation.

1992 – 5 September, 1992. Multiple members of Satan’s Choice go to the Sorrento on the Kingsway in Sudbury where they locate members of the Black Diamond Riders Motorcycle Club at which point they attack them with clubs, knives, fists, boots and a handgun. 8 people are taken to hospital after the attack, including one member of the Black Diamond Riders who had been shot in the abdomen. In a twist to the case one warrant went unserved until 2009, 17 years after the attack, when John Vasilantonakis was picked up by police and the old warrant for assault was discovered.

1995 – 1 August, 1995. The front door of the Satan’s Choice Toronto clubhouse on Kintyre Avenue is blown off. It is believed that a handheld rocket launcher was used in the attack.

1996 – 15 December, 1996. A bomb explodes at the Sudbury Police Station, creating a significant hole in the wall. Later on as part of “Operation Dismantle” the police arrest and inteview Satan’s Choice member Jimmy Rich. He confesses that the bombing was part of the initiation of the Hamilton chapter. 6 members including Johnny K-9, Gary Noble are arrested in relation to the bombing. One possible motive for the attack on the police station was that club members had been earlier thrown out of a strip club by police after refusing to remove their colors, which was a requirement as the strip club had a no colors policy.

1998 – 16 April, 1998. Police raid the Hamilton chapter clubhouse, located on Lottridge Street, Hamilton, Ontario. Although they find no illegal weapons, drugs or other items they are able to seize items including a pool table and surveillance equipment as part of the proceeds of crime legislation.

She had previously been charged with battery in 2012. Chiquita Stevenson’s boyfriend, Nicholas Williams, claims that the aggression began after her windscreen was smashed by the bikers and that she had given chase to the pack of 70 motorcycles in order to capture their licence plates.

The case has been delayed multiple times and as at the time of writing the Cook County Sheriff Inmate Locator reports that her court proceedings are ongoing.

Terry The Tramp – Hells Angels

Terry The Tramp, born John Terence Tracy, is a former member of the Hells Angels Oakland chapter.

There is also another biker known as Terry The Tramp, Terry Orendoff, who was the Vagos Motorcycle Club President and the subject of a book written by Keith Ball. He is in no way related to the person discussed in this article.

Terry The Tramp Hells Angels – Early Life / Personal Life

John Terence Tracy a.k.a Terry The Tramp was born on 21 December, 1939.

After finishing High School he joined the Coast Guard where he stayed for around three years. Other jobs that he held over the years included actor, laborer, mechanic, tree-trimmer and various hustles. While living in the Bay Area he secured a position working at a General Motors plant on the assembly line, a job which he would later be fired from after negative articles about the Hells Angels were published in the media.

He enjoyed travelling around from town to town, he was a drifter. It was this habit that led to him receiving the nickname of “Terry The Tramp” after being known to have lived in locations including Detroit, Fresno, Long Island, Los Angeles, Norfolk and Sacramento.

The author Hunter S. Thompson described his physical appearance as “He is six feet two inches tall, 210 pounds heavy, with massive arms, a full beard, shoulder- length black hair and a wild, jabbering demeanor not calculated to soothe the soul of any personnel specialist”.

After dropping out of college to get married he had 2 children with his wife, who he later divorced. A second marriage and another child would follow.

During one period when the Hells Angels had been having disagreements with other groups there was a revenge attack against Terry. A house that he was renting in East Oakland had a bomb thrown through the window. The resulting fire ruined much of the house. His partner of the time, Marilyn, had a significant number of her artworks ruined. She left him.

Terry The Tramp

His love of partying resulted in many stories, including the following:

  • Falling into a camp fire, resulting in serious burns requiring hospital attention.
  • After passing out he was wired to an electrical socket by Mouldy Marvin, who then soaked his jeans with beer.
  • One night Terry was “convinced that he’d died as a person and come back to life as a rooster which was going to be cooked on the bonfire just as soon as the music stopped. Toward the end of every dance he would rush over to the tape recorder, shouting “NO! No! Don’t let it stop!”
  • A microphone was hooked up to high powered speakers and Terry gave an address to the San Mateo Sherrifs Department “Remember this,” he screamed into the mike. “Just remember that while you’re standin out there on that cold road, doin’ your righteous duty and watchin’ all us sex fiends and dope addicts in here having a good time. . . just think about that little old wife of yours back home with some dirty old Hell’s Angel crawlin’ up between her thighs!” Then a burst of wild laughter, clearly audible on the road. “What do you think about that, you worthless fuzz? You gettin’ hungry? We’ll bring you some chili if we have any left over. . . but don’t hurry home, let your wife enjoy herself.”

Terry The Tramp died from an overdose of Seconal (Secobarbital) on 13 February, 1970, age 30. The story goes that he was buried by his Hells Angels brothers in the Bay Area, however his family then had the body exhumed and reburied at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum which is in Sacramento County, California.

Terry The Tramp Hells Angels – Club Involvement

He is best known as being a member of the Oakland chapter of the Hells Angels, who at the time were under the leadership of the most famous Hells Angel of them all, Sonny Barger.

His fun loving spirit is displayed well in this scene from the Hells Angels 69 movie (link opens in a new tab), where he takes center stage on the dance floor:

Originally a member of the Sacramento chapter, a chapter which then relocated to Oakland. After spending several years with the Oakland chapter he then transferred to the Hells Angels Berdoo chapter (San Bernardino), allegedly in response to the “no needles” rule on drugs that was brought into the Oakland chapter by Sonny Barger.

Hells Angels Patches - Death Head Logo

Terry The Tramp Hells Angels – Crime

The following is an excerpt about Terry The Tramp by Hunter S. Thompson from his book Hell’s Angels (see the Media section below for more information about the book):

In his twenty-seven years he has piled up a tall and ugly police record: a multitude of arrests, from petty theft and battery, to rape, narcotics offences and public cunnilingus — and all this without a single felony conviction, being officially guilty of nothing more than what any spirited citizen might commit in some drunk or violent moment of animal weakness. “Yeah, but that rap sheet’s all bullshit,” he insists. “Most of those charges are phoney. I’ve never thought of myself as a criminal. I don’t work at it; I’m not greedy enough. Everything I do is natural, because I need to.” And then, after a moment: “But I guess I’m pushin’ my luck, even if I’m not a criminal. Pretty soon they’ll nail me for one of these goddamn things, and then it’s goodbye, Terry, for a whole lot of years.”

And the following passage in the book provides some further insight:

Despite his spectacular rap sheet, he estimates his total jail time at about six months — ninety days for trespassing and the rest for traffic offences. Terry is one of the most arrest-prone of all the Angels; cops are offended by the very sight of him. In one stretch, covering 1964 and ’65, he paid roughly $2,500 to bail bondsmen, lawyers and traffic courts. Like most of the other Angels he blames “the cops” for making him a full-time outlaw.

At the time of his arrest he was described as being bearded and 260 pounds.

After testifying against the Hells Angels he was put into the witness protection program along with his wife and two children (see the “Crime” section further down in this article for more information).

His current location is unknown.

George Wethern Hells Angels – Club Involvement

He became a member of the Hells Angels Oakland chapter, where he was known by the name of “Baby Huey”.

Through his friendships in the club, particularly with the President Sonny Barger, he rose to the position of Vice President of the Oakland chapter.

Around 1970 he left the Hells Angels, however still remained in contact with many members before later reaching a deal for immunity with law enforcement and later entering the witness protection program (see the “Crime” section below for further details).

Three bodies had been left by members of the club at George Wethern’s 156 acre ranch located near Ukiah in norther California. It is claimed that this particular property, which was believed to have been purchased with club money but placed in Wethern’s name, was used to dispose of the bodies as George Wethern owed a debt to William “Zoro” Mitten, after allegedly shooting him at a party while in a drugged state in 1969.

The bodies were left inside abandoned wells on the property.

  • The other two bodies being those of Hells Angels Prospecting members, Big Tom Shull, age 24 and Charles Barker, age 30, who were trying to stage a coup, so were strangled to death. According to Wild Bill Pifer the two had been given cups of coffee which had been spiked with LSD.

George is not believed to have been involved in the murders, but had left the keys of the ranch with William Mitten and was told to not be at the property on a designated weekend.

Whispering Bill Pifer had been in Alameda County Jail, located in Oakland, California along with Sonny Barger. Cancer was taking over his body and he didn’t have long to live. In an effort to spend some time on the outside before his death he made a deal for immunity, turning witness to the murders, pointing the finger at the ranch where George Wethern lived with his wife.

A raid was performed on the ranch, where drugs and weapons were found, along with the bodies. George was promptly arrested along with his wife. The search of the ranch continued for around a week, as police believed that there were up to 12 other bodies buried on the property.

After his arrest he decided to turn state witness in a deal which saw him receive immunity in return for advising police of the location of the bodies on his ranch.

On 7 November, 1972 he was sharing a jail cell with his wife and asked her for some pencils, which she handed to him. He then stabbed the pencils into his own eyes, at which point his wife began screaming. He then began choking her, at which point jail wardens separated the pair.

He went on to testify in court against the Hells Angels members allegedly involved in the murders.

Road Rats MC is an outlaw motorcycle club founded in London, England with connections back to the 1960s.

Road Rats Motorcycle Club History

The Road Rats Motorcycle Club of London has connections back to the early 1960s. They began in London as a street gang and over the years switched over to being run as an outlaw motorcycle club.

It has been suggested that at one point in time the Hells Angels had offered for the Road Rats to prospect for them. This offer was of course turned down and the club have remained independent.

Over the decades the club have had disputes with a number of clubs, most notably the Hells Angels, Satans Slaves and the Cycle Tramps. Further details of some of these confrontations can be found further below in the “Crime / In The Media” section.

Road Rats Motorcycle Club Patch / Motto / Colors

The Road Rats MC patch has a rat as a the focus point. The colors used on the patch are red/orange and yellow.

It is rumoured that the Road Rats are the only club allowed to wear the “London” rocker.

Road Rats MC Crime / In The Media

1970 – 17 October, 1970. The Road Rats, Nightingales, Windsors & Jokers stand off at the Chelsea Bridge against the Essex Nomads and the Chelsea Nomads. Essex Nomads member Peter Howson is shot, and although he is wounded he survives. Multiple people are arrested including Road Rats member Paul Luttman who is jailed for 12 years.

1983 – 18 September, 1983. 6 members of the Road Rats Motorcycle Club are in a fight with 24 members of the Satans Slaves Motorcycle Club at a Hells Angels sponsored event in Cookham Dean, England. It is believed that the fight started over women, however another possible motive is that there were one or more photos taken of members in their colors without their permission, which could have been used to identify them in the future. Two Road Rats members, Colin Bunting and Mike Harrison are killed in the brawl. Members of the Hells Angels settled the scene and most fled before the police arrived. Guns, axes, knives, baseball bats and lead filled handlebars were found at the scene by police. Dozens of arrests are later made.

1989 – Road Rats members are drinking in the Carlisle pub in Hastings, members of the Cycle Tramps MC are also in the pub drinking. After drinking without incident for several hours Road Rats member Patrick Boyle, known as “Baby Rat” starts causing trouble and is spoken to by the Cycle Tramps President, Bruno “Brewer” Tessaro. Patrick Boyle leaves the establishment, but soon returns, Luger pistol in hand, walks up behind Bruno Tessaro, points the gun to the back of Tessaro’s head and squeezes the trigger. Bruno Tessaro is killed. Patrick Boyle is arrested and convicted of the murder. He commits suicide while behind bars.

Jesse Ventura – Mongols MC

Jesse Ventura is a former Governor of Minnesota, Pro-Wrestler and Mongols MC Sergeant-At-Arms.

Jesse Ventura Mongols MC – Early Life / Personal Life

Jesse Ventura was born James George Janos on Sunday 15 July, 1951 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to George William Janos and Bernice Martha. His parents were originally from Slovakia.

After leaving high school he joined the United States Navy, shipping out to California.

The Navy years included time spent within the Mongols Motorcycle Club, which was followed by a career in Professional Wrestling, over a dozen professional acting credits, a career in politics and finally years spent as an author. You could say that he has tried it all.

He has lived in a number of places including Minnesota, California and recently spends a significant portion of the year living in semi-rural Mexico.

He now rides a fully custom chopper built on a Rolling Thunder frame with an S&S 124 motor. He notes that his custom ride does not have any Harley Davidson parts.

Jesse Ventura Mongols MC – Navy Career

On 1 December 1969 he joined the United States Navy, as part of the Underwater Demolition Team.

He served on active duty from 1969 until 1973 and was part of the Reserves from 1973 until 1975.

He has the famous SEAL’s trident tattoo.

He left the service in on 10 September, 1975.

Jesse Ventura Mongols MC – Mongols Club Involvement

Jesse Ventura joined the Mongols Motorcycle Club in California around 1973, this was a period of his life where he was still active within the United States Navy. He rose the ranks of the San Diego chapter of the Mongols (Dago) and found himself as the Sergeant-At-Arms of his chapter. He moved back to Minnesota around 1974-1975.

Within the club he was known by the name of “Superman”, due to his physique and his desire to thrive at physical challenges.

In an October 2016 interview on the Joe Rogan podcast he claims that his chapter sent him outside when any questionable matters were being discussed in Church, as his chapter wanted to protect him as he was an active United States Navy member at the time and any punishment towards him would be harsh.

He has stated in multiple interviews that as recently as after leaving the role of Governor of Minnesota he rode his chopper around the state in full Mongols colors, although he had not paid any dues to the club in several years. It is highly unusual for an ex-member of any outlaw club (or at least a member who was no longer active within the club) to be allowed to ride in full colors without facing consequences, but it is possible that due to his very prominent public standing he was provided with some leniency.

The Mongols have since re-posted some of the interviews where he discusses his club involvement, so one could only assume that he is in good standings with the club.

Jesse Ventura Mongols MC – Professional Wrestling Career

After leaving the United States Navy in 1975 he attended the North Hennepin Community College in Minnesota. It was during his college years that he began seriously wrestling and weightlifting.

His wrestling persona was one of a villain, a bully, he was known as Jesse “The Great” Ventura, which was later revised to Jesse “The Body” Ventura.

His character went as far as the WWF (World Wrestling Federation), becoming one of the biggest names in the sport. Ventura claims that his final departure from the professional wrestling community stemmed from Ventura’s ownership of the rights to the character of Jesse “The Body” Ventura in a time when boss Vince McMahon was aiming for complete control over the licensing of professional wrestling merchandise.

The following is a promo clip of Jesse “The Body” Ventura:

Jesse Ventura Mongols MC – Acting Career

Road Runners MC (Motorcycle Club)

Road Runners MC is a one percenter motorcycle club founded in the Silesia region of Poland in 1978.

There are a number of motorcycle clubs who use the name “Road Runners”, many of which use the logo of the “Road Runner” character from the Looney Tunes cartoon Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner. These clubs are unrelated to the one discussed in this article.

Road Runners Motorcycle Club History

The Road Runners Motorcycle Club was founded by Miroslaw “Miro” Stefanczyk in the Silesia region of Poland in 1978 around 40km south of Sosnowca. They were one of the first, if not the first, outlaw motorcycle clubs in the country. The Silesia region is in the southwest of Poland bordering Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Originally the club was known as “VC”, standing for Veterans Club, before Miroslaw Stefanczyk led part of the club to split off and form the Road Runners Motorcycle Club. It is believed that the name “Road Runners” was chosen as this was a brand of motorcycle tire used by many of the original members of the club.

Miro Stefanczyk and the Road Runners helped to establish an organization in Poland known as the Kongres Polskich Klubów Motocyklowych (Motorcycle Congress of Poland), which regulates Polish motorcycle clubs. The member clubs of the congress are as follows, however these change over time (in alphabetical order):

  • Born To Ride MC
  • Boruta MC
  • Boxer MC
  • No Name MC
  • Rebels of Road MC
  • Road Runners MC
  • Steel Roses MC

Some of the former clubs in the congress include Gremium MC and Iron Elephant MC.

In 2005 the club decided to expand internationally, with a prospect chapter opening on 10 May in Chicago, Illinois, USA with many members having a Polish heritage, with their website also being mainly written in Polish. On 27 May, 2006 the prospect chapter were deemed successful during their probation period and were then officially taken in as a fully patched chapter of the Road Runners. This became the first official Road Runners chapter outside of Europe.

Road Runners Motorcycle Club Patch / Motto / Colors

Road Runners Motorcycle Club have a patch consisting of a motorcycle wheel with wings. The clubs colors are black and yellow/gold.

The patch has a similar look to that of the Hells Angels winged death head patch, as well as that of the Wheels of Soul Motorcycle Club patch of the flying spoked wheel. There is no evidence to suggest that any similarity to either the Hells Angels or Wheels of Soul patches is intentional.

The clubs supporter gear uses the phrase “Support 18”. The 18th letter of the alphabet is “R”.

Road Runners Motorcycle Club use the acronyms “RFFR” and “RRFFRR”, which stand for “Road Runners Forever, Forever Road Runners”, this format of acronym is used amongst almost all one percenter motorcycle clubs.

The inmates alerted staff at the facility who then allegedly took several hours to call an ambulance. He is taken in a comatose state to the hospital and can not be revived. The autopsy revealed that the cause of death was cerebral edema. Experts stated that this condition could have been brought on by poisoning from an unknown substance or a rapidly progressive, unknown disease.

Loners MC are a one percenter motorcycle club founded in Ontario, Canada in 1979. They now have chapters spread throughout the world.

There are multiple clubs who use the name “Loners”, most notably the Loners Motorcycle Club founded in La Mirada, California in 1973. These other clubs are unrelated the one discussed in this article.

Loners Motorcycle Club History

The Loners Motorcycle Club was founded in Ontario, Canada in 1979. Members of the club are required to ride an American made motorcycle.

The founders of the club are believed to be Frank Lenti and Gennaro “Jim” Raso. They both first joined the Satan’s Choice Motorcycle Club in the early 1970s, however the chapter were later patched over to the Outlaws Motorcycle Club in 1977. They both left the Loners are started  a chapter of the Rebels, but then decided to form the Loners Motorcycle Club.

At one point Frank Lenti is believed to have stolen from the club, and was caught, at which point he decided to flee the country to Italy. His move to Italy highlights one possible way that the club expanded to Europe.

Upon Frank Lenti’s return to Canada in 1981 he decided to re-join the Satan’s Choice Motorcycle Club in Toronto, leaving them around 1984 and starting the Woodbridge chapter of the Loners.

In 1986 many of the members of the Canadian Loners had left to join the Outlaws Motorcycle Club, to the point where the Loners were all but extinct.

In 1990 the Loners were reformed by ex-members of the Satan’s Choice Motorcycle Club and the club soon began to expand once again.

In 1996 20 members of the Loners were believed to have patched over to the Para-Dice Riders Motorcycle Club.

The Loners historically have had an association with the Bandidos, both in Canada and in Europe. In 2001 many of the Canadian Loners left the club, patching over the Bandidos, including the formation of a new chapter of the Bandidos Motorcycle Club, just outside of Toronto, Canada. The Bandidos Canada President John Muscedere, known as “Boxer” was a former member of the Loners. Peter “Peppi” Barilla was also an influential member of the Loners in Toronto, Canada, before joining the Bandidos where he would become Vice President.

Also of note is former Loner member Wayne Kellestine (known as “Weiner”) who played a large part in the Bandidos Shedden Massacre in 2006, later being charged with murder.

In 2007 a number of the Loners Canadian chapters were patched over by the Mongols Motorcycle Club.

The name of the Loners and the patch that the motorcycle club use possibly link back to the great grey predator wolves throughout North America, which are sometime known as Loners.

As part of the raid police were believed to have seized $11,000 of heroin. Woody was later confiscated and shipped to a compound near Barrie after the club was charged with violating a King Township bylaw against keeping exotic pets.

Outsiders MC are an outlaw motorcycle club founded in 1968.

There are multiple clubs who use the word “Outsider” or “Outsiders” within their club name. One of the most well known is “Outsider MC”, who are a multi-national one percenter motorcycle club and have no affiliation with the club discussed in this article.

Outsiders Motorcycle Club History

Outsiders MC were founded in 1968.

More recently in 2011 the Outsiders played a key role as part of the Washington Confederation of Clubs to successfully lobby to bring in a new law to help prevent the profiling of motorcyclists. In a presentation they have defined “profiling” as the following:

“Profiling occurs when a law enforcement officer singles out a suspect with certain characteristics because the officer believes that the class of persons that exhibits the characteristics is more likely than others to commit crimes.”

A number of other prominent Washington based clubs joined in pushing forward this legislation including Bandidos, Gypsy Jokers and the Free Souls.

The Outsiders wear their patch on a serape, which is similar to a shawl or blanket, unlike the cuts worn by almost all other outlaw motorcycle clubs which are most often based upon a leather vest.

Outsiders Motorcycle Club Patch / Motto / Colors

The Outsiders MC patch consists of ape hangers (high set motorcycle handlebars) sitting on top of a red cross.

One other club who use ape hangers on their patch are El Forastero MC, although there is no relationship between the two clubs that we are aware of.

The patches used a red text on white background, however the serape that they are worn on features many colors including black and grey.

The Outsiders use the motto “OFFO”, standing for Outsiders Forever, Forever Outsiders. This style of motto is extremely common amongst outlaw motorcycle clubs.

1979 – 12 December, 1979. Outsiders Motorcycle Club member Robert “Pigpen” Christopher shoots and kills Portland police officer David Crowther with a shotgun during a police raid at the Portland clubhouse at 9014 North Lombard Street in St Johns, Portland. Robert Christopher claimed that the police failed to identify themselves as law enforcement officers when they entered the premises and pointed a gun at him, so he was unaware that they were law enforcement when he fired at them.

It was later determined that the police raid on the property was performed illegally, with the warrant obtained using perjured statements from a fictitious police informant. Robert Christopher was convicted of manslaughter, however later released after police misconduct was brought to light. Furthermore it was found that the police planned to plant drugs, including amphetamine tablets, at the premises. At the hospital there were drugs removed by police officers from the pockets of officer David Crowther.

As part of the investigation into the conduct of the Portland police department there were 58 convictions which were overturned and 35 cases dismissed.

Some original news coverage of the shooting:

1991 – 31 August 1991. Frank J. Pettingill leaves his house, telling his wife that he is heading out to purchase a tv guide and some hobby glue for a friend. Two days later his body is found by hikers near Blue Ridge Road in Sumner, southeast of Coos Bay, Oregeon. The man’s truck is later found near the south jetty at Bastendorff Beach and police find a witness who had given a ride to a woman who was standing next to the truck. The same woman was later seen with members of the Outsiders, so police execute a search warrant on the Portland, Oregon clubhouse. Nothing is found in the search.

Outsider MC are a one percenter motorcycle club founded in Innsbruck, Austria in 1973.

There are multiple clubs who use the word “Outsider” or “Outsiders” within their club name. One of the other well known clubs is Outsiders MC, based in the north west of the USA. They are not related to the club discussed in this article.

Outsider Motorcycle Club History

Outsider Motorcycle Club was founded in 1973 in Innsbruck, Austria. Innsbruck is located on the western side of Austria, only a short distance of less than 50 miles from both the borders of Germany and Italy.

The Austrian based Satana MC dissolved and members went on to form two new clubs, the Riders of Limited MC and Outsider MC.

In 1981 the one percenter motorcycle club expanded to Germany, opening a chapter in Rosenheim, a town located on the southern border of Germany, less than 100 miles from the original chapter based in Innsbruck, Austria. This chapter only existed until 1983.

In 1987 a chapter was opened in Graz, a city in the state of Styria located on the eastern side of Austria. This chapter remained open until 1993.

On 1 May, 1982 the Vienna, Austria chapter was opened. This has since been deemed as the Mother Chapter for the Outsider MC.

Outsider patched over a number of smaller clubs on 16 February 2002, including the following:

  • Eagles MC which went on to become the Outsider Eisenstadt chapter
  • Dragon Rider MC which went on to become the Outsider St. Pölten chapter
  • Soldier MC which went on to become the Schwechat prospect chapter
  • Gallows Birds MC which went on to become the Mödling prospect chapter as well as a Germany Nomad chapter

In May 2002 the club expanded outside of Europe, opening the first chapter in Asia.

The outlaw motorcycle club have been involved in increasing the visibility of the Austrian biker scene, assisting in creating the Chrom Musik in Wien festival in 1991 and 1992 alongside the Hells Angels MC as well as the Stone Rock Motorcycle and Music Festival from 1993 until 1997. Outsider MC have also been involved in setting up the Vienna Tattoo Convention and many other events.

Outsider Motorcycle Club Patch / Motto / Colors

The Outsider Motorcycle Club patch is made up of a half alien, half native Indian figure wearing a head dress. This figure is meant to be a representation of a complete “outsider”, someone who doesn’t fit in with the common image seen in society.

Typography on the patch has changed a number of times since the club was formed, with a change to black letters on a white background in 1981. A further redesign in 2001 saw the letters changes once.

The club use the motto “One World, One Vision”. One Eleven (1 11) is also used on much of their supporter gear.

The Jury MC Crime / In The Media

2010 – 12 April, 2010. Queensbury resident Michael Benway is abducted as part of an alleged act of retribution after stealing 11 pounds of marijuana from The Jury Motorcycle Club associate Scott M. Thorpe, a known major drug trafficker who was arrested in a federal drug case in 1997. The theft of the 11 pounds of marijuana was said to have occurred approximately 10 years before the kidnapping. Michael Benway was tied up, beaten, threatened with a gun and knife and forced to inject himself with drugs in an effort to make his death look like a drug overdose suicide. He was also forced to write a suicide note. The drugs did not have the desired effect and as he was being transported in a vehicle he was able to escape.

The Post-Star newspaper connected the crime to the Jury Motorcycle Club, alluding that the 11 pounds of marijuana may have been taken from the club. The Jury MC President Alun Reeks, along with Treasurer Greg Jeskie spoke to the media to make it clear that the accused, Scott Thorpe, was purely just an associate of the club, who had visited the club only “3 or 4 times” over a number of years and that the club plays no part in the distribution of marijuana.
