Ruben Doc Cavazos

Ruben Doc Cavazos is a former National President of Mongols MC who in August 2008 was put “Out Bad” by the club. He is currently serving a 14 year sentence for RICO charges following Operation Black Rain.

Ruben Doc Cavazos Early Life / Personal Life

Ruben “Doc” Cavazos was born in 1957 in Northeast Los Angeles and grew up in the Highland Park area.

As a teen he joined the Los Angeles based Avenues street gang, whose membership is predominantly hispanic. He would later use these relationships to quickly expand the Mongols.

He became a licensed radiologist and for a time he worked at the Southern California Medical Center as a CAT scan technician. It was this work that led to his nickname of “Doc”.

He has a son, Ruben “Lil Rubes” Cavazos Jnr as well as a brother Al “The Suit” Cavazos. Both of these men were also active in the Mongols.

Ruben Doc Cavazos Mongols MC & Crimes

Ruben Cavazos left the Avenues street gang and began prospecting for the Mongols MC.

Once obtaining membership he was keen to quickly rise to the top. He would rise the ranks, firstly to be a chapter President and finally into the role of National President.

He used his connections with hispanic street gangs to quickly boost membership numbers within the Mongols. Some of these new members who were recruited from street gangs were reported to not even own motorcycles, let alone a Harley Davidson.

The move to quickly expand ranks and bring in those who are not traditional motorcycle riders caused some tension within the Mongols, particularly with some of the longer standing members. The move also put at risk the relationships that the Mongols Motorcycle Club had built over many years with the Mexican Mafia.

Extremely fast expansion for any outlaw motorcycle club results in the proper scrutiny of the probation period being put at risk. It was this speed of expansion, the desire to bring in as many new members as possible, that contributed to law enforcement agencies being able to infiltrate the Mongols and ultimately bring charges against many of the members.

2008 – 30 August, 2008. Ruben Doc Cavazos is voted out of the club, along with his son Ruben “Lil Rubes” Cavazos and his brother Al “The Suit” Cavazos. There are rumours circulated that he is a rat.

2008 – 21 October, 2008. Law enforcement raid his house in South Hills, West Covina, California and Doc is arrested as part of “Operation Black Rain”.

2009 – January, 2009. Ruben Cavazos plead guilty and stated that he “led a murdering, drug dealing criminal conspiracy called the Mongols Motorcycle Club” and that “the Mongols Registered Trademarks afforded a source of influence over the RICO enterprise that defendant admits he established, operated, controlled, conducted and participated in”.

He is sentenced to 14 years in prison.

He was born on 6 September, 1939 in Akron, Ohio.

From an early age he spent many years in various facilities, often behind bars.

Some of those locations are as follows:

  • Age 9: He was sent to the Starr Commonwealth for Boys reform school in Albion, Michigan.
  • Age 14: He was sent to Boys Industrial School in Lancaster, Ohio.
  • Age 16: National Training School for Boys
  • Age 17: Lewisburg Penitentiary

  • Age 25-27: Marion Correctional Institution

It was these later years in prison that led to him meeting Screamin’ Jay Hawkins (1929-2000), a musician who encouraged David Allan Coe to write.

Motorcycles have also played a very large part in his identity, with many being owned by him over the years. His first was a whizzer motorized bicycle, he then moved on to a Cushman scooter, followed by an Indian and then finally found Harley Davidson motorcycles. His first was a Harley Sportster and he has since had many Harley Panheads.

David Allan Coe is affectionately known by the acronym of DAC.

In June 2008 he was charged with various offences including Disorderly Conduct after an altercation at the Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino in Altoona, Iowa. He was with his girlfriend (now wife) and hit the jackpot on a slot machine and left his girlfriend to collect the jackpot. A scuffle broke out when security asked for his identification. His version of events was fully backed up as the incident had been caught on camera. The charges against him were later dropped.

In March 2013 David Allan Coe’s Chevy Suburban was hit by an 18 wheeler in Ocala, Florida. The Suburban was pushed off of the road and completely totalled, the 18 wheeler ended up on it’s side and wrapped around a concrete pole. David Allan Coe suffered from broken ribs and bruised kidneys in the accident, however after a few weeks in hospital was released and only months later continued his musical performances.

David Allan Coe Outlaws MC

David Allan Coe joined the Outlaws Motorcycle Club after having cousins who were already club members.

He is a former member of an Outlaws MC chapter in Louisville, Kentucky. He has also been known to ride with the Outlaws in Dayton, Florida.

He often brought his love of the Outlaws Motorcycle Club up onto the stage and was known as one of the “outlaws” of Country Music, along with other performers including Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson.

The following story was told in an interview in relation to a concert that he was playing named “48 Hours in Atoka” in Oklahoma:

“At that time I was in the Outlaws Motorcycle Club. I had my Outlaws’ colors on, and I had my pistol in my pocket and I rode my motorcycle up on stage while Waylon was singing. I got off my motorcycle, and went out and started singing with Waylon. And then Willie came out and sang with us. There was a picture of us in the paper that had an arrow pointing to the pistol in my pocket and another arrow pointing to where it said, “Outlaws, Florida.” The headline said, “The Outlaws came to town.” That’s actually how it all started”.

He is now retired from the club.

Colin Caesar Campbell is a former Sergeant-At-Arms for Bandidos MC as well as Comanchero MC. He is best known for his involvement in the events of the Father’s Day Massacre in 1984.

View our full list of Famous Bandidos MC Members.

Colin Caesar Campbell Early Life / Personal Life

Born on 18 July, 1946 at the Mater Hospital in Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, he is one of 6 “Campbell Brothers” to have been involved in the outlaw motorcycle community at various times.

  • Bull – Phillip Campbell
  • Caesar – Colin Campbell
  • Shadow – Gregory Campbell (died: Milperra Massacre)
  • Snake – Geoff Campbell
  • Whack – John Campbell (died: Injuries sustained in the Milperra Massacre)
  • Wheels

He also has multiple adopted brothers, including Mario “Chopper” Cianter, who was killed in the Milperra Massacre.

From a young age he was interested in hand-to-hand combat, originally taught by his grandfather how to box, and also had an interest in the game of rugby league.

Colin has been married to his wife, Donna, for several decades, they have multiple children. They were last known to be living around the Snowy Mountains region.

Colin Caesar Campbell Comanchero MC

His affiliation with outlaw-style motorcycle clubs began when he joined the Gladiators Motorcycle Club.

Colin, along with his brothers, joined Comanchero MC in 1978. Comanchero MC was led by Jock Ross, a Scottish military enthusiast who had a strong hold over the club and gave himself the title of Supreme Commander. Their clubhouse was based at 65 Harris Street, Harris Park, Sydney.

While in Comanchero MC Caesar was the Sergeant-At-Arms.

A second chapter of Comanchero MC was started in Sydney, the reasoning behind the new chapter has two possible explanations. Either that many of the members were sick of the heavy military-style hand that Jock Ross was holding over the group, or that Jock Ross was sleeping with another member’s wife, which was against the club rules. It is highly possible that it was a combination of the two that led to the split.

In 1982 Caesar moved to the Sydney City chapter of Comanchero MC along with his brothers. This new chapter was led by Anthony Snodgrass Spencer and their clubhouse was at 150 Louisa Road, Birchgrove, Sydney. A waterfront mansion looking onto Sydney Harbour.

Meetings were held between members of the Sydney City chapter and Bandidos USA. It was decided that the Bandidos would patch over the Comanchero Sydney City chapter.

While in Bandidos MC he once again took up the role of Sergeant-At-Arms.

Tensions grew between Comanchero MC and Bandidos MC, coming to a head on Sunday 2 September, 1984 in an event which would later be called the Milperra Massacre, or also known as the Father’s Day Massacre.

Colin Caesar Campbell Milperra Massacre /Father’s Day Massacre

Colin Campbell has gained most of his visibility in the public from his involvement in the events of the Father’s Day Massacre.

His brother Gregory “Shadow” Campbell is killed, along with his adopted brother Mario “Chopper” Cianter.

Caesar is shot multiple times and spends several weeks in hospital recovering from the injuries. He leaves hospital and moves to Perth with Donna. They live in Perth for a year and a half before he is found by police and extradited to Sydney.

Colin Caesar Campbell Prison / Crimes

The trial for the Milperra Massacre lasted over a year, with 332 days of evidence, in a case which cost in the vicinity of $11 million. Bernard Podgorski, a former Secretary of the Bandidos turned witness for the state.

On 24 February 1986, Caesar is charged at Waverley Court in Sydney with seven counts of murder, including the death of his brother, Gregory “Shadow” Campbell. He is convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to seven years without parole.

In February 1986 Caesar begins his time in prison. He spends 4 years in Parklea prison before being released. He is housed, along with dozens of other Bandidos Motorcycle Club members in Three Top Wing. His four year stay in Parklea prison was interrupted at one point when he is released on bail for a period of 9 days.

Three years after the Milperra Massacre Caesar Campbell’s brother, John “Whack” Campbell, dies from injuries sustained on the day.

Edward Winterhalder is a former Bandidos MC member, best known for coordinating the patching over of Rock Machine MC to the Bandidos at the end of the Quebec Biker War. Edward is also an author with multiple published works.

Edward Winterhalder Early Life / Personal Life

Edward Winterhalder was born in Hartford, Connecticut, in the summer of 1955. He was given up for adoption the day after his birth and six months later adopted by Warren and Helen Winterhalder, who lived in Hamden, a suburb of New haven, Connecticut.

In 1972 Edward joined the army, where he trained to be a tank turret mechanic at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Maryland. He is deployed to a base in Germany next to the town of Kirch Goens, located 100km north of the city of Frankfurt.

It was in around 1974 when he bought his first Harley Davidson motorcycle.

Edward Winterhalder

Edward Winterhalder Bandidos MC

His connections with the Bandidos Motorcycle Club began when he joined the Rogues Motorcycle Club in the mid 1970s and became an associate of the Bandidos. He would hold this association for three decades before finally joining the Bandidos.

In 1997 it was approved for a new Bandidos chapter in Tulsa, Oklahoma to be created. Edward was selected to become the Bandidos President for this chapter.

Within the Bandidos he was known by the name of “Connecticut Ed”.

In 2001 he was sent to Canada to lead the Bandidos MC assimilation of Rock Machine MC, after the long running Quebec Biker War. During these proceedings he was arrested, with the Canadian authorities attempting to deport him. The Rock Machine chapters became Bandidos chapters, but ultimately the assimilation would be seen as a failure over the following years.

In 2003 Edward left the Bandidos and was listed as “Out Bad”. Edward Winterhalder claims that he left the club as he had family commitments as well as a construction business to run and that he simply couldn’t do it all as well as be a Bandido at same time. Another possibility is that George Wegers had recently entered the role of Bandidos El Presidente and that he had a strong idea of how each of the chapters should be run. These ideas conflicted with how Winterhalder wished to run his chapter.

Edward Winterhalder Life After Bandidos

Since leaving the Bandidos he has been involved in the writing of several books, is a producer on multiple television shows, as well as been interviewed as an expert by several different television shows, according to his website these appearances include “Fox News (the O’Reilly Factor with Bill O’Reilly & America’s Newsroom), CNN, Bravo, Al Jazeera, BBC, ABC Nightline, MSNBC News Nation, Good Morning America, History Channel, Global, National Geographic, History Television, AB Groupe, and CBC.”

On his Amazon author profile he claims to be “the world’s leading authority on motorcycle clubs and the outlaw biker lifestyle”.

It has also been suggested that the character of Jax in the television show Sons of Anarchy was based on Edward Winterhalder. However, Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter had said that this is not the case.

Before joining the Hells Angels Chuck Zito set up the New Rochelle Motorcycle Club. The New Rochelle Motorcycle Club was then patched over by the Ching-A-Ling Nomads.

In around 1980 he left the Ching-A-Ling Nomads and joined the Hells Angels. He has stated that he originally found a love for the Hells Angels as a child when he grew up watching some of the cult classic biker movies, including Hells Angels ’69 and Hells Angels on WheelsBefore joining the Angels he had already spent several years around many of the New York chapter, including the President, Sandy Alexander. He hung around the club and helped to paint their motorcycles.

In 1984 he became one of the founders of the Hells Angels New York Nomads chapter.

He left the Hells Angels in 2005.

Chuck Zito Hells Angels – Prison

From 1985 through to 1990 he was sent to prison on charges of drug conspiracy. The case stated that he made a phone call to someone who was selling a very large quantity of methamphetamine.

At the time of his arrest he was on tour as a bodyguard for Bon Jovi in Japan. He was locked in a Japanese prison and extradited four months later, spending time in 19 different prisons over the 5 year sentence.

Chuck Zito Hells Angels – Stuntman and Acting Career

It was Chuck’s work as a bodyguard to the stars that helped to break him into the acting world, as he had built up a network of celebrity clients.

In 1979 he appeared in a scene with his Harley Davidson, this was his first taste in film.

He found work as a stuntman, with credits in many Hollywood hit movies including:

  • The Last Boy Scout (1991) – starring Bruce Willis
  • True Lies (1994) – starring Arnold Schwarzenegger
  • Mallrats (1995) – starring Ben Affleck and Shannen Doherty
  • The Rock (1996) – starring Nicolas Cage and Sean Connery
  • Eraser (1996) – starring Arnold Schwarzenegger

Throughout his career as a stuntman he was also able to find minor acting roles, mainly playing tough guy security guards or the biker role. The first role was in the movie Dead Ringer (1991), where Meat Loaf starred as the leader of a motorcycle club.

One of the more famous earlier roles was in the movie Carlito’s Way (1993) where he played a bouncer, which is course is best known for starring Al Pacino, but also starred Sean Penn, who had known Chuck Zito from his bodyguard days.

In late 1997 he had a big break when he was cast in the popular prison television series Oz, where he played the role of Chuckie Pancamo, a tough guy Italian enforcer.

Chuck Zito Hells Angels – Sons of Anarchy

His interactions with the tv show Sons of Anarchy started well before he played a small role in front of the camera.

He claims that in 1998 he developed the idea for a television show about an outlaw motorcycle club and believed that the FX Network, the creators of Sons of Anarchy, had stolen his idea after he pitched it to them in 2004.

In 2010 he filed a lawsuit against the FX Network for $5 million for damages, however the case was ruled against him in late 2011.

In a strange twist, he then went on to appear in the show Sons of Anarchy, in season 5 where he played the character Frankie Diamonds.

Heathens MC (Motorcycle Club)

Heathens MC is a one percenter motorcycle club believed to have been founded by Dannie Leroy “Sawgrass” Decker and associates in 2013. They are sometimes referred to as the Heathens Nomads.

The club discussed in this article should not be confused with the Heathens MF (Motorcycle Family), who were founded in California in 1973. The clubs are not known to be connected in any way, other than by the use of the “Heathens” name.

Heathens MC History

Heathens MC was founded by Dannie Leroy “Sawgrass” Decker, a former member of the Outlaws MC.

A large number of the Heathens members are known to have previously been members of other outlaw clubs, most notably ex-members of the Outlaws MC and Black Pistons MC (the Outlaws support club), some of whom have been put “out bad” by their original clubs.

Some members of the club have stated “Family 1st, Job 2nd, Club 3rd”. This is a very different view to that taken by the majority of other outlaw clubs where the focus on the club is a very strong priority. The Heathens state that they are setting a new way for outlaw clubs, setting new priorities with a strong work ethic and that they should not be bound by the traditional “rules” of outlaw motorcycle clubs.

In a similar style to most outlaw clubs, the Heathens use the abbreviation of HFFH, which stands for “Heathens Forever, Forever Heathens”.

Heathens MC Chapters

No detailed information about the Heathens chapters exist, with many members known to be Nomads.

Famous Heathens MC Members

Dannie Leroy “Sawgrass” Decker – Heathens MC Founder

Also known as Daniel Leroy Decker, he was formerly a member of Outlaws MC and was arrested in 2010 in a raid on the Outlaws MC clubhouse in East Chattanooga, Tennessee for outstanding warrants. He has prior felony convictions for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, felony battery and felony assault.

As part of his sentencing he is believed to have signed a plea agreement stating that he would provide cooperation to law enforcement, which led to him being put in bad standings with the Outlaws Motorcycle Club around mid to late 2010.

Having left the Outlaws he went on to found Heathens Motorcycle Club.

Heathens MC Crime / In The Media

2014 – 1 February, 2014. There is a fight between members of the Heathens Motorcycle Club and Outlaws MC at the Easyriders bike show in Nashville, Tennessee. An Ol’ Lady of one of the Heathens was also involved in the fight, believed to have been body-slammed. An Outlaws members had part of his ear bitten off in the scuffle. The fight started over members of the Heathens were wearing a shirt supporting a jailed brother, who was an ex-Outlaws MC member. The Outlaws took offence at the shirt and were requesting they be removed.

2014 – 25 July, 2014. A fight breaks out in an Applebee’s in Athens, Tennessee betweens members of the Heathens and Widowmakers MC just before midnight. Shortly after there is a related shooting at the Kangaroo Convenience Store on Decatur Pike, where the Heathens are believed to have fired shots from a Chevy Tahoe at members of Outlaws MC. Alex Vella – Rebels MC

Alex Vella, born Alessio Emmanuel Vella, is the former National President of Rebels MC. He is now living permanently in Malta after the Australian Government cancelled his visa in 2014.

Alex Vella – Personal Life / Visa Problems

Alessio Emmanuel Vella was born on 5 June, 1953 in Malta, as the seventh of eleven children in the family. He is often referred to by the name of “Maltese Falcon”.

In 1967 he moved to Australia, where his family started a strawberry farm in the suburb of Horsley Park in Western Sydney while they lived in the suburb of Auburn.

He was a boxer and became the Maltese light-heavyweight champion in 1978.

He married his wife Heather and had two sons, named Adam and Alex Jnr. He had a number of different jobs within Australia, including work as a bouncer, bricklayer and labourer.

After a significant motor accident he was awarded $225,000 compensation and used this money to begin a motorcycle import business and began to establish a property portfolio. He had amassed as many as 70 motorcycles, 2 Rolls Royce (one of which had the numberplate “REBEL1”), other cars and several properties. All of this wealth was said to have been gained from good investments.

In March 2007 his son Adam Vella, a middleweight boxer, had a fight in Tokyo, Japan. Alex joined his son in Japan for the fight. While in Japan his Australian resident return visa expired, requiring him to apply for a new visa. While both his wife and two sons are citizens, Alex Vella never became a citizen of Australia, despite living in the country for several decades. The Australian government initially denied his request for a new visa based on a character assessment, notably his connections with the Rebels Motorcycle Club. Upon appeal the visa was eventually granted and he returned to Sydney from Tokyo on April 4, 2007.

In June of 2014 his visa was cancelled while he was overseas in Malta, where he owns a luxury villa. In October 2015 the courts denied any rights for further appeal.

He joined the Rebels Motorcycle Club in 1972 at age 19, joining the Dubbo chapter, and then went on to start the Rebels Sydney chapter.

Control of the Sydney chapter provided him with significant power within the club. He is believed to have become the Rebels National President in 1973.

He was able to use his significant wealth to assist with bankrolling the Rebels, including being the listed owner of the Western Sydney clubhouse. As of 2016 the 2.7 hectare Leppington Western Sydney Rebels clubhouse which he purchased for $198,000 in 1985 was shut down and was being leased out to a storage company for approximately $130,000 a year. This has caused some tension with members of the outlaw motorcycle club, as some were under the impression that the fees they paid to the club, and the assistance that they provided with running motorcycle shows at the clubhouse, which earned in the vicinity of $40,000 a show, were being used to pay off the mortgage on the land.

After the June 2014 cancellation of his visa where he was unable to return to Australia from Malta, his nephew, Damien Vella, took over the role of Rebels National President.

Alex Vella – Crimes / Prison

1990 – Police raid Alex Vella’s home and seize $15,000 of marijuana. He is charged and later sentenced to an 18 month term of part-time prison, part-time community service.

1995 – Around 60 Police raid his property under the belief that his assets are the proceeds of crime. Police seize assets believed to be worth in the vicinity of $3 million, including 44 Harley Davidson motorcycles, 2 Rolls Royces, four Corvettes, a Bentley and a Mercedes with the belief that the assets were the proceeds of crime. The case went to court and the result was that Alex needed to pay $650,000 to the crime commission, after which he seized assets were returned.

2008 – Alex Vella wins a court case against Permanent Mortgages, Mitchell Morgan and the ANZ bank, a case where he was at risk of losing the title deeds to three properties that he owned, including the Rebels Western Sydney Clubhouse which he purchased in 1985 for $198,000. His former business partner, Tony Caradonna, had falsely applied for $2.4 million in loans, forging Alex Vella’s details. Tony Caradonna was also found to have withdrawn $300,000 from a joint bank account, an account which was initially established to support the 2006 Anthony Mundine versus Danny Green boxing match. The mortgagees were found to have not applied enough scrutiny when performing the identification checks before they provided the loans.

Henchmen MC is a one percenter motorcycle club, now based mainly around the West Coast of the USA but previously with chapters across several states.

There are multiple other clubs who also use the name “Henchmen” including the Devils Henchmen from New Zealand, who are believed to have no relation to this club.

There are also the Hells Henchmen, who are based mainly around the Chicago area and have connections with the Hells Angels and were involved in a dispute with the Outlaws MC in 1994 which resulted in their clubhouse being bombed. Their connection with the club in this article is unknown.

Henchmen MC History

Details of the founding of Henchmen MC are scarce.

Numbers within the Henchmen were strong up through to the early 1970s, with hundreds of members in areas including California.

Towards the end of the 1970s dozens of members patched over to other clubs, most notably to the Hells Angels MC as well as the Breed MC.

The colors of the club have changed over time, with a red on white coloring which then changed to black and blue lettering.

Because of the colors used the club sometimes uses the slogan of the “Black and Blue Crew”.

Henchmen MC Chapters

In the late 1960s the Henchmen Motorcycle Club had chapters throughout Chicago as well as New Jersey, however most of this presence reduced significantly in the 1970s when members patched over to the Hells Angels as well as some members going to Breed MC.

In more recent years the Henchmen have been mainly around the West Coast.

Police attended his home in relation to a parking violation, at which point they noticed the smell of marijuana coming from inside the house while speaking with his wife. Ronald Bohm along with other members of the Henchmen returned at this time and a police dog gave a positive reading when near his saddlebags. Marijuana and guns were found in the saddlebags. A warrant was then obtained to search the home, at which point 63 grams of methamphetamine, 176.2 grams of marijuana and a digital scale with meth residue were found along with two AR-15 rifles, five AR-15 receivers, a .22 rifle with a shortened barrel, a 7.62X54 rifle with a shortened barrel and a drop in auto sear (parts designed to convert a semi automatic rifle into a machine gun).

Freewheelers MC (Motorcycle Club)

Freewheelers MC is a one percenter motorcycle club founded in Chicago, Illinois in 1968.

There are multiple clubs who use the name of Freewheelers MC. One of the most notable for the purpose of this article are the Freewheelers MC Ireland, who are one of the largest one percenter clubs in Ireland. To the best of our knowledge they are not in any way related to the USA founded club discussed in this article.

Freewheelers MC History

Freewheelers MC was founded by a group of friends in the western suburbs of Chicago, Illinois in 1968. The original club members had a variety of motorcycles including Honda’s, BSAs, Nortons, Triumphs and a single Harley Davidson motorcycle.

In the early days of the club they attended a bike show in Chicago. At the show they came across another club who were also using the name Freewheelers, completely by coincidence. The two Presidents built a friendship and decided to merge their clubs.

The club that was founded in the northwestern suburbs of Chicago was the larger of the two clubs so their patch was retained for use by the combined club.

Multiple members of the west chapter then patched over to the Hell’s Henchmen MC.

The west and northwest chapters then had a disagreement and decided to split. The west chapter then formed a new club, the Devil’s Ushers MC, who then later patched over to the Hell’s Henchmen MC. The former Freewheelers members within the Hells Henchmen Motorcycle Club then formed the Hell’s Henchmen Chicago West chapter.

Over the years some members came back to the Freewheelers, forming a single large chapter. This chapter then split again, reforming the west chapter after the 1999 death of long-standing Northwest President “Hot Dog”, taking some of the northwest members with them.

The are an ally of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club.

Freewheelers MC Patch / Motto / Colors

The original Freewheelers patch which was designed by members of the western suburbs Chicago founded club consisted of the colors gold ,red, black and white. The letters MC are emblazoned on a set of gold wings.

The updated Freewheelers patch is based mainly around the colors red and black. It focuses on a skeleton wearing a purple robe riding a chopper. Flames are shooting out of the exhaust of the bike.

This patch is used by the members of the Freewheelers West chapter.

Wino’s Crew MC (Motorcycle Club)

Wino’s Crew MC is an outlaw motorcycle club founded in Fort Worth, Texas in 1996. The founding members were former members of the Boozefighters Motorcycle Club, who left the Boozefighters due to internal disputes.

The name “Wino’s Crew” links directly back to the Boozefighters Motorcycle Club founder, “Wino” Willie Forkner, who by this time had fallen out with the Boozefighters and had stood down from his role as Boozefighters President in 1993.

Wino’s Crew MC History

Boozefighters MC National President Gary “Batman” Rye had been working on a plan for the Fort Worth chapter to purchase their clubhouse, as they had put significant work into it. Gary “Batman” Rye together with Doug Baron held the trademark for the Boozefighters name and logo.

At the end of 1995 Gary Rye died and the National chapter of the Boozefighters decided to aim to incorporate some parts of the club, with a plan to sell stock. This was a plan that Boozefighters Founder, Wino Willie Forkner, as well as key members within the Fort Worth chapter, was against. Wino Willie Forkner no longer had a say within the Boozefighters.

A meeting was held in Mississippi where a vote was put to the chapters. The plan to incorporate was voted in.

In 1996 five members were expelled from the Fort Worth chapter (Chapter 69) of the Boozefighters Motorcycle Club. It had been alleged that they had been taking drugs, however they were not presented with an opportunity to clear their name before being thrown out of the club.

Many other members within the Boozefighters MC Fort Worth chapter were watching these events take place and decided that they would walk too, the result was 25 members leaving the Fort Worth chapter.

Together they formed Wino’s Crew Motorcycle Club in 1996 and moved to a new clubhouse with the blessing of Wino Willie Forkner.

Famous” Harry would become the President within the club, he passed away in 2002. Byron “Scooter” Lawing was the Vice President, who passed away on 2 September, 2004 only weeks after suffering a stroke. ”
