Kinfolk MC are a one percenter motorcycle club founded in Texas, USA in 2016.
There is a motorcycle club who go by the name of “Kinfolk Riding Club” and are based in Paragould, Arkansas. The riding club are in no way related to the one percenter club discussed in this article.
Kinfolk Motorcycle Club History
Kinfolk MC were founded in Texas, USA in 2016.
Their website was first registered to an address in Bells, Texas in September 2016. The town of Bells is located approximately 70 miles northeast of Dallas.
One of the Kinfolk key founding members is believed to have been Dan Schild, also known as “Chopper Dan”, a former Bandidos National Chapter officer. It has been stated that Dan Schild started the Kinfolk Motorcycle Club after being looked over for the role of Bandidos National President after former National President Jeff Pike was arrested in early 2016. The Bandidos National President role went to Bill Sartelle, known as “Big Deal”.
Many of the members of Kinfolk are former members of the Bandidos Motorcycle Club. There are varying accounts about a mass exodus from the Bandidos, either because they were put out by the club, but also because of infighting that caused members to leave by their own account.
The following statements were published by the Aging Rebel website and are said to have come from the Kinfolk MC National meeting held on 15 October 2016:
“We are not like Bandidos. We are out own club and will not be run like a Dictatorship.”
“We do not discriminate against former police officers.”
“While we prefer American V-Twins the type of motorcycle is not important.”
“If a member has his membership revoked, he will not be placed on no contact. There will be no out in bad standing. Either you are a member or not.”
“Our prospective members will be called rookies, not prospects. Ingrain this in your brain.”
“The order of receiving their patches will be as follows for rookies. Bottom rocker two months. Center patch four months. Top rocker and 1%er diamond after six months.”
“You do not have to fly your patch if you feel you are in an uncomfortable area or it interferes with your job or position.”
“We will be selling a support patch that simply says ‘Kin.’”
“We had a meeting with the Mongols and Sons of Silence. We were well received and received their blessing even though they wanted no more 1% clubs in Colorado. They said that knowing who was involved in the leadership and the way we went about our business that they were impressed.”
The above statements indicate that although the Kinfolk Motorcycle Club wish to be known as a 1%er club, they do not feel as though they should have to run the club following the same set of “rules” that most one percenter clubs before them have followed. Of particular interest is the willingness of a one percenter motorcycle club to take in former law enforcement.
Kinfolk Motorcycle Club Patch / Motto / Colors
The Kinfolk Motorcycle Club patch consists of a man, viewed from the rear, wearing a wide brim hat and long coat, holding a pistol behind his back, looking much like an old west gunslinger.

The Kinfolk website contains the motto “Respect is earned, loyalty returned”.

These are the Devils Breed Motorcycle Club bylaws from 2000. These bylaws were published on various websites with the permission of the club in around 2007. 2012 – 27 November, 2012. Demon Knights MC member Peter Kanakis is arrested along with Gambino crime family associate James Ferrara and The Westies street gang member Daniel Hanley on a federal indictment charging them with extortionate extension of credit, extortionate collection of credit, and conspiracy to do the same. They are alleged to have conspired to collect and attempt to collect loansharking debts from at least two victims, using threats of violence and displaying firearms to their victims. In one instance, when a victim could not make repayments on the loan, the defendants threatened him with brass knuckles and a baseball bat. As detailed in the government’s detention memorandum, the extortionate means used by the defendants to collect the loansharking debts included a shooting in December 2011 in which a gunman driving a car of the same color, make, and model as a car registered to Kanakis shot at the victim one morning as the victim was getting into his car to leave for work, narrowly missing him.
2015 – 13 June, 2015. Inside Miller’s 2013 Infiniti G-Series coupe, police found more unlicensed guns, including a North American Arms .22-caliber revolver, a loaded Colt semiautomatic .380-caliber pistol, and a Smith & Wesson .38-caliber revolver along with 25 prescription pills in his pocket. He was charged with multiple counts of criminal possession of a weapon and drug possession.

History of the club dates back to long before the 2005 founding, where many of the present day members were English Football fans and the name “Valley Commandos” had been coined after a 1974 football match between Cardiff City and Manchester United. Manchester United are widely known as the “Red Army” and press at the time dubbed Cardiff City as the “Valley Commandos”. The name quickly caught on.

Defiant Disciples MC are a one percenter motorcycle club founded in Worcester, Massachusetts in 2010.
Defiant Disciples Motorcycle Club History
The Defiant Disciples Motorcycle Club were founded in Worcester, Massachusetts in 2010.
One story goes that many members of the Defiant Disciples MC were originally members of the long established Devils Diciples MC who decided to split from the club and that the name of the “Defiant” Disciples was chosen as the members who left the Devils Diciples were allegedly told that they were too defiant to be Devils Diciples. The Defiant Disciples claim to be an independent club.
The Fontana, California founded Devils Diciples MC state that they have no connection with the Defiant Disciples and appear to be somewhat displeased that the Defiant Disciples appear to have used similar colors and mottos. It is possible that there was some historic connection, but that this is now long gone.
Another story is that the Defiant Disciples have connections to the Massachusetts founded and also long established Devil’s Desciples MC. There are photos that show members of the Defiant Disciples together with the Devil’s Desciples, so some connection between these clubs is probable.
Defiant Disciples Motorcycle Club Patch / Motto / Colors
The Defiant Disciples Motorcycle Club patch consists of a skull with flames and a dagger running down the center of the skull.
On the handle of the dagger are the letters G.F.Y, which stands for “Go Fuck Yourself”.
A patch with the number “44” is also on their cut. This is in recognition of the 4th letter of the alphabet, “D”.
The colors used by the Defiant Disciples are blue and white.

The club also use the motto of Disciples Forever, Forever Disciples. This style of motto is an extremely popular format, almost the standard, amongst outlaw motorcycle clubs.
The mottos of “God Forgives, Disciples Don’t” and “Expect No Mercy” are also used by the club. The Outlaws MC use the similar motto of “God Forgives, Outlaws Don’t”.

2010 – 22 January, 2010. Defiant Disciples President Michael Frisoli appears in court on “Stolen Valor” charges after being spotted by Sgt. Timothy M. Watts sometime between June and October of 2008. Although it is believed that Michael Frisoli did do some service, he was seen displaying decorations which he did not earn including the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. The US Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz made the following statement on the case “Those who falsely claim to have earned prestigious awards like the Purple Heart and Bronze Star undermine the public’s respect and admiration for those men and women who honorably serve our country in the Armed Services.” After being released on conditions after the court appearance there was a police raid on his home. The raid found heroin and drug paraphernalia, which resulted in Michael Frisoli being arrested again. He was later sentenced by U.S. Magistrate Judge Timothy S. Hillman to 200 hours of community service.
2016 – 8 May, 2016. 2 members of the Defiant Desciples Motorcycle Club are beaten by 7 members of the Hells Angels MC. One of the Defiant Disciples was standing out the front of Suney’s Pub, located in Worcester, Massachusetts, when he was attacked by the Hells Angels members, a beating which included the use of a flashlight. A second member of the Defiant Disciples saw the attack in progress and went out to assist, only to also be beaten. It was reported that the Hells Angels took a cell phone from the men, as well as their “jackets”, which possibly refers to their Defiant Disciples MC cuts. In June 2016 police arrested Hells Angels members Jake Doherty and Michael Blair and charged them for the attack.

To the best of our knowledge the club fell apart and disbanded sometime during the first season of The Devils Ride television show, which would be around 2012. The club continued on in name as an act of fiction appearing in the show, making them both a “real” and a “fictitious” outlaw motorcycle club and therefore quite difficult to accurately describe as the lines between what is fact and what is fiction are heavily blurred.
In a twist though, there are reports of a chapter of the Laffing Devils being active in Mexico as late as 2016, wearing the same style of patches seen on the San Diego based club, so possibly the club has been resurrected.
The Laffing Devils are best known for their appearance on the television show The Devils Ride. The show was promoted as being about a “real club”, there was no indication that this was a fictionalised program based on the outlaw motorcycle club culture.
Before the filming of the show the club existed in the form of a three piece “motorcycle club”. After being contracted to the show the members followed a script for the “reality” series, essentially making the club members now actors, or cast members. It is rumoured that many of the original Laffing Devils members chose not to participate in the entertainment project and left the club before filming commenced. Furthermore, it is highly likely that some of those shown in the television show are professional actors and played no part in the club before the filming began.
The Laffing Devils were a part of the local Confederation of Clubs, however after the airing of the television show they were removed in 2012.
Unlike the popular television show Sons of Anarchy, the show The Devils Ride was shot in a reality/documentary style format and promised viewers a look inside a rising, real, outlaw club. What is often seen can be described by many as simply “fake”.
Firstly you should view the trailer for the show:
The “official” website of the club (http://www.laffingdevilsmc.com) was first registered in mid-2008, however was taken down around 2014, only two years after the television show was first broadcast. Around this same time a notice was placed on their website listing that the site was for sale and that the club were seeking investors. Some speculate that this site was not endorsed by the club and was created speculatively for profit.
One of the executive producers for the show is Eric Bischoff, an American entrepreneur best known for his involvement in the professional wrestling arena, with work with both the WCW and WWE. It is these wrestling connections which help to explain some of the marketing around the show and the Laffing Devils, for instance the daughter of Hulk Hogan posting on the Twitter feed of the Laffing Devils member known as Sandman. Also adding to the confusion/illusion were those known for having outlaw connections making an appearance in the show, for example former Hells Angel Rusty Coones, who had also been seen in Sons of Anarchy.
Sinister Mob Syndicate MC are the noted rival of the Laffing Devils MC. “Sinister Mob Syndicate MC” is a listed trademark of Bischoff Hervey Entertainment Television, LLC.

Many members of the club have reached at least a low level of fame for their involvement in the television show The Devils Ride.
Thomas Quinn (Gipsy) – Founder of the Laffing Devils MC. A former marine, part-time bounty hunter and is allegedly married to a San Diego police officer. Left the club to form the fictitious Sinister Mob Syndicate MC in the television show The Devils Ride. Arrested in August 2012 on suspicion of committing a lewd act with an underage female relative (see the Crime / In The Media section below for more information).

Laffing Devils MC Crime / In The Media
2012 – 14 May, 2012. Peckerwoods MC member Deron Jaffe is charged with four felony counts and five gang enhancements after a fight against two members of the Laffing Devils MC and an associate. The members of the Laffing Devils are not charged.
2012 – 30 August, 2012. Laffing Devils Founder Thomas Quinn (Tommy/Gipsy) is arrested by police in La Mesa on suspicion of committing a lewd act with an underage female relative, believed to be his step-daughter. This story was reported by multiple reputable news agencies. The charges against Quinn were later dropped.
There are many crimes depicted in The Devils Ride which were performed by members of the Laffing Devils, from theft to numerous cases of assault, however these appear to largely go unpunished despite being captured on camera in high definition video. With the exception of Thomas Quinn’s arrest in August 2010, throughout the period when the show was running there were several news stories involving members of the club, for instance the member known as “Sandman” being arrested for a stabbing, which although were published by “entertainment” websites such as TMZ and E! News, were not mentioned by any credible news or legal sources that could be found. It is largely possible that these were just clever marketing stunts.
Below is a fight scene between the Laffing Devils MC and a rival club, the Sinister Mob Syndicate. The fight is broken up when the police arrive in a “questionable” looking police car. It is such a blessing that such sharp video, crisp audio and multiple camera angles were available for this moment of “reality”:

Descendants MC are an outlaw motorcycle club founded in South Australia in 1974.
Descendants Motorcycle Club History
Descendants MC were founded in South Australia in 1974 by brothers Tom Mackie and Perry Mackie who founded the club after arriving to Australia from New Zealand. The brothers had witnessed many Maori led groups throughout the South Auckland where they had previously lived.
A few years after the outlaw motorcycle club was formed the South Australian government brought in anti-consorting laws. These laws saw members of the Descendants, along with other clubs, sent to jail for petty consorting crimes throughout the late 1970s. Club founder Tom Mackie has stated that he believes it was the result of these years in jail that saw some members of the club become hardened criminals, as well as providing them a chance to build up their criminal networks.
In more recent years the Descendants have played a strong role in bringing together the many patched clubs that exist in Adelaide and South Australia in general including the Hells Angels MC, Finks MC and Gypsy Jokers MC in order to unite against the anti-biker legislation that has been passed. The anti-biker legislation attempts to identify and treat outlaw motorcycle clubs as criminal groups in order to prosecute them for associating with one another. The Descendants clubhouse has been used as a meeting place for the multiple clubs to discuss these matters due to be it being seen as neutral territory to a certain extent and the fact that the Descendants are one of the most longstanding clubs in the state of South Australia.

It is suspected that the fight began as the result of the Rebels MC recently moving into a clubhouse on Burwood Road and decided to be seen openly at the cafe in traditional Lone Wolf territory. Lone Wolf member Yusef Zazlioglu was charged with affray. Rebels Liverpool chapter Sergeant At Arms Khaldoun Al Majid was charged with two counts of affray. Also located in the search were the photos of two members of the Rebels MC. He is alleged to identify himself as a “Rebels Hunter”, referring to Rebels MC, a known enemy of the Lone Wolf. Although he had Lone Wolf tattoos, he denied being a member of the club.

The owner of the house was believed to be a former nominee of the Lone Wolf in Sydney, however after being in the club for several months decided that he no longer wished to be a member and moved his family to Queensland. Upon leaving the club it is claimed that he owed approximately $20,000 and had not returned club patches. During the time of the raid the man was not home, however his wife and children were. After police were called the group of people left the property, however it was later discovered that a number of items were missing from the house, included dozens of items of gold jewellery.

2007 – July, 2007. Black Uhlans Melbourne chapter Founder John Higgs is connected to the world’s largest ecstasy seizure. 15,193,798 ecstasy pills weighing 4.423 tonnes were found packed into tomato tins by police as part of a major operation by the Australian Federal Police. He is later found guilty of conspiracy to import the 4.4 tonnes of ecstasy into Melbourne and sentenced to 18 years in jail, with a minimum sentence of 14 years.

2013 – 21 May, 2013. A member of the Black Uhlans attacks a beach Lifeguard on North Burleigh Beach, Gold Coast, Queensland. The Lifeguard, Phil Gregory, suffers a cut above his left eye and other facial injuries. It is alleged that the incident occurred after the Lifeguard asked the bikers girlfriend to not walk her dog through a designated swimming area.
2013 – August, 2013. Black Uhlans member Cameron Templeton takes a man to the Burleigh Heads, Queensland clubhouse, where he demands $10,000 cash and threatens the man, advising “You’ll f***ing pay, you know what clubs are capable of if you don’t pay. You know what happens to narks” and “you know how serious we are and what we can do”. The man pays in two payments of $5,000 and also pays a later demand for a further $10,000. In June 2015 Cameron Templeton is sentenced to one year in jail.
2014 – 10 July, 2014. Police officers from Task Force Maxima perform a raid on a property associated with a member of the Black Uhlans in Southport, Gold Coast, located in Queensland. In the raid police seized a motorcycle, an air compressor and a vehicle trailer, items which were alleged stolen property. The man was charged with theft, wilful damage, possession of explosives and possession of a drug utensil.
2015 – 16 June, 2015. Police Task Force Maxima perform raids on 30 properties, including 10 on the Gold Coast, Queensland and 20 in Mackay, Queensland targeting the trafficking of drugs by the Black Uhlans Motorcycle Club and the Rebels Motorcycle Club. Police seized a quantity of methylamphetamine, MDMA pills, cannabis and synthetic cannabis during the raids. A 56 year old man from the Gold Coast, believed to be a local chapter President of the Black Uhlans is one of those arrested on the charge of trafficking of dangerous drugs. In the Mackay raids a 53 year old man, who had been in the Rebels MC for 20 years, along with 42 year old woman were also charged with the trafficking of dangerous drugs.
2016 – 6 May, 2016. Police raid the Black Uhlans Albury chapter clubhouse as part of a joint operation between Albury Local Area Command, the Gangs Squad’s Strike Force Raptor and assisted by Police Rescue, the Dog Unit and Traffic and Highway Patrol Command. The purpose of this particular operation was to attempt to permanently shut down clubhouse operations. Twenty members of the club were present at the time of the raid and only very small amounts of narcotics including ice and cannabis were found in the search, resulting in field court notices being written for the narcotics along with field notices for liquor offences, as the clubhouse is not a licensed premise. Police seized more than 550 containers of alcohol along with ledgers, associated documents, cash and dozens of items brandishing the “Black Uhlans” name including signage from the front clubhouse gates. Defect notices were also written for vehicles as they were leaving the clubhouse.
In late 2016 the Black Uhlans lodged a development application to council to have the clubhouse deemed a “Function Centre”, with a listed cost of $38,500 to perform the work. This would then allow the club to use the premises for hosting various motorcycle club events. Local police formally objected to the development application, with that statement that “Information available to NSW Police Force suggests that the premises are being used to plan and conduct an organised criminal enterprise.” and “By approving the subject application and permitting the use sought, the council may be assisting in enabling the gang to engage in anti-social behaviour and criminal activity through the Albury local government area.”

Soul Brothers MC are a one percenter motorcycle club founded in East Palo Alto, California in 1967.
Soul Brothers Motorcycle Club History
The Soul Brothers Motorcycle Club was officially founded in East Palo Alto, California in 1967. Leading up to the founding a small group of friends had been riding together for approximately the 3 years prior.
Making the club rather unique at the time was the fact that they were a mixed race club from the beginning, with a mix of black and white members. Considering that this was the late 1960’s, this was unusual for an outlaw motorcycle club.
The club’s first official run was on Labor Day of 1967, with a total of 57 members participating.
The Mother Chapter for the club would also shift over time, from the early years in East Palo Alto, to Stockton and then Fresno.

Popeyes MC were a one percenter motorcycle club founded in the 1950s in Canada.
Popeyes Motorcycle Club History
The Popeyes Motorcycle Club were founded in Canada sometime in the 1950s, some sources report 1951.
At their peak they were believed to be the largest club in Montreal and the second largest outlaw motorcycle club in Canada, behind Satan’s Choice MC. They were the largest of the French speaking clubs.
It was during the 1970s that the Popeyes were hired by a prominent crime family in Montreal, the Dubois brothers, who were nine of the ten sons of Napoleon Dubois. The nine were Raymond, Jean-Guy, Normand, Claude, Rene, Rolland, Jean-Paul, Maurice and Adrien. The Dubois brothers had a hold on the drug industry in the area and required the hired muscle to retain their control. One of those that the Dubois brothers would put the Popeyes against was the Devil’s Disciples Motorcycle Club. The club found their way in the drug trade and under the leadership of Yves Buteau transformed into a professional distribution network.
On 5 December, 1977 the Popeyes were patched over by the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club, with the first Hells Angels MC Canadian chapter being based in Sorel, Quebec. A total of 35 members are believed to have patched over, the rest being either not interested or not up to the standard that the Hells Angels required.

Yves “le Boss” Buteau – Popeyes President / Hells Angels Canada President
Yves Buteau was born in 1951.
It is believed that Hells Angels President Sonny Barger approached Yves Buteau directly to discuss the patching over of the Popeyes in 1977. After the club were patched over Yves Buteau would become the Hells Angels Canada President.
On 8 September, 1983 Yves Buteau is shot and killed by Gino Goudreau, a 22 year old reported to be a drug dealer and a member of a rival club and had a brother who was a member of the Quebec based Outlaws MC.
A prominent member of the Popeyes who also patched over to the Hells Angels.
After becoming concerned that his fellow club members wanted to kill him, a thought that was possibly also helped along by his participation in taking cocaine, he turned government informant.
It is believed that Yves Trudeau was involved in a total of 43 murders.

Yves Buteau
Yves Buteau Hells Angels – Popeyes MC
Around the early 1970s Yves Buteau joined the Popeyes Motorcycle Club. Popeyes MC would grow to be the second largest outlaw motorcycle club in Canada behind the Satan’s Choice MC and the largest French speaking club. The Popeyes were also the largest club in Montreal. In the mid 1970s he was promoted and his status went from just being a member to being the President of the club. It was around this period where he was given the name of “Le Boss”.
Some time around early 1977 the Hells Angels MC President Sonny Barger travelled to Canada to meet with Buteau. The two built up a strong relationship and it was agreed that the Hells Angels would patch over the Popeyes, allowing a selection of the Popeyes members to also patch over. It is believed that Sonny Barger delivered Yves Buteau’s patch personally and on 5 December, 1977 the Popeyes Motorcycle Club were no more, they were now the first Canadian chapter of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club.
Yves Buteau Hells Angels – Hells Angels MC
As part of the patching over of the Popeyes by the Hells Angels MC it was decided that Yves Buteau would be the club’s Canadian President.
Key to Buteau’s success in Canada was the fact that he was able to build relationships with many other clubs, several of which would later become additional chapters of the Hells Angels. It was these relationships that also allowed his influence in the drug distribution game to grow.
In a few short years he had transformed the Canadian chapters into professional outfit, cleaning up the way that they dressed, the way that they kept their facial hair and reportedly also prohibiting all members to use cocaine, punishable by death.
After his death in 1983 (see “Death” further down in this article) he was replaced as Hells Angels Canadian National President by Michel Langlois, aka “Sky”. The role of Montreal South Chapter President in Sorel went to Rejean Lessard, aka “Zig Zag”.
Yves Buteau Hells Angels – Crime
1976 – 14 August, 1976. Yves Buteau is amongst approximately 50 members of the Popeyes who are arrested at a hotel in Saint-Andre-Avellion, Quebec. They group had been trashing the hotel when the police were called.
1979 – 9 May, 1979. According to Yves Trudeau, the former Popeyes MC and Hells Angels MC member who turned government witness, Yves Buteau, along with Yves “Apache” Trudeau and Jean-Pierre Mathieu had been involved in the killing of Outlaws MC member Daniel McLean along with his girlfriend Carmen Piche. It was alleged that they had planted a bomb on the Outlaws MC member’s bike while in Verdun, Quebec. Once the couple were on the bike the bomb was detonated.
Yves Buteau Hells Angels – Death
Yves Buteau along with his friend and fellow Hells Angels MC member Rene Lamoureaux are at the Le Petit Bourg bar, located in the suburb of Longueuil. The pair are hosting Guy Gilbert, aka. “Frenchie”, a member of Satan’s Choice MC who has travelled from Ontario. Waiting outside of the bar on his bike was Gino Goudreau, a 22 year old drug dealer with a brother who belonged to Outlaws MC in Quebec, along with his girlfriend. When Buteau, Lamoureaux and Gilbert exited the bar Gino Goudreau left his girlfriend on the bike and approached the men, removing a .38 pistol and emptying the magazine on the three men. Yves Buteau is hit twice in the chest and dies immediately, Guy “Frenchie” Gilbert dies shortly after. Rene Lamoureaux survives the shooting with serious injuries.
Although Gino Goudreau goes into hiding he is located and arrested by police only a few months later where he is charged with two counts of murder in the second degree. In the trial that followed Goudreau claims that Yves Buteau had threatened him on many occasions and on the night of the shooting Yves Buteau also pulled a gun, however Gino Goudreau was able to fire off shots first. The self defence claim is successful and Goudreau is acquitted of the murder.
On 12 September 1983 a funeral was held at a church in the town of Sorel. It is estimated that there were 2000 onlookers and 150 members of the Hells Angels from Canada, the United States, England and elsewhere who rode in procession from Sorel to Drummondville where he was buried, a journey covering a distance of approximately 40 miles. He shares a gravestone with Hells Angels member Adrien Fleury, aka “Pistache”.

On the day after the funeral a bomb was found on the funeral route. It was suspected that the bomb was intended for mourners.

Michel Langlois Hells Angels – Early Life
Michel Langlois was born in 1946.
He obtained a pilot’s licence and began flying, he even purchased an aircraft. It was this love of flying that gave him his nickname, he would be known as “Sky”.
Michel “Sky” Langlois
Michel Langlois Hells Angels – Popeyes MC
When Michel Langlois was in his early twenties he joined the Popeyes Motorcycle Club, a club who would become the second largest outlaw motorcycle club in Canada behind the Satan’s Choice Motorcycle Club. The Popeyes were the largest French speaking club and also the largest in Quebec.
Michel Langlois Hells Angels – Hells Angels MC
On 5 December, 1977 the Hells Angels MC patched over the Popeyes MC, making the club the first Canadian chapter for the Hells Angels.
The President of the Canadian Hells Angels MC was Yves Buteau, at least this was the case up until his shooting death on 8 September, 1983. It was at this point that Michel Langlois was selected to take over the role of Hells Angels Canadian National President, however the role of the Hells Angels Montreal chapter President based in the town of Sorel would go to Rejean Lessard, aka “Zig Zag”.
In March, 1997 Michel Langlois left the Hells Angels Montreal chapter along with 7 other members and 2 prospects. Together they formed the Hells Angels South chapter.

Michel Langlois Hells Angels – Crime
1985 – 24 March, 1985. 5 members of the Hells Angels are murdered by other members of the club in an event that would come to be known as the Lennoxville Massacre. Word was out that the police had a warrant out for his arrest so he decided to skip the country, fleeing to Morocco for two years. In April of 1988 he returned to the country and handed himself in to police. He was convicted of being an accessory after the fact to murder, as he had assisted with disposing of the bodies of the murdered members. He receives a two year prison sentence.
1998 – 18 January, 1998. Robert Savard, a close confidant of Maurice “Mom” Boucher and friend of the Hells Angels, is arrested in Lacolle, Canada in possession of 178 kilograms of cocaine which had been hidden inside the walls of a trailer he was towing behind his vehicle. On 14 October, 1998 Michel Langlois is charged with importing and conspiring to import cocaine. On 9 July, 1999 he is sentenced after pleading guilty to three different drug cases and receives a 5 year prison sentence along with a fine of $20,000.
2015 – March, 2015. As part of Operation SharQ Michel Langlois, along with dozens of other members, is charged with taking part in a general conspiracy to commit murder. He pleads guilty. As part of Operation SharQc the land on which their original Montreal clubhouse located in the town of Sorel sits was confiscated by the Canadian government. These charges stemmed from the Quebec Biker War which ran from 1994 to 2002. At least 162 deaths were associated with this dark period in Canadian outlaw biker history and it is some of these deaths that can be linked back to the conspiracy charges against Michel Langlois and his counterparts.

Yves Trudeau was a former member of the Hells Angels MC based in Canada.
He is widely regarded as being the most prolific hitman in club history, with an admitted 43 murders to his name, which gives him a place on our list of the most famous Hells Angels.
Yves Trudeau Hells Angels – Early Life / Personal Life
Yves Trudeau was born in 1946 in Canada (note: some sources including the book “Montreal’s Irish Mafia” list his date of birth as 1944, however his 2004 arrest records indicate that he was 58 years old at the time of arrest, ruling out the possibility of a 1944 birth year).
He was not a large man, coming in at 5 foot 6 inches and weighing only 135 pounds.
In the early 1960s, while still a teenager, he held a job at Canadian Industries Limited (CIL) where he learned how to work with explosives. This training would later come in handy as he orchestrated several bombings.
There were two nicknames which he went by over the years, “Apache” and “The Mad Bumper”. The “Bumper” likely referring to his ability to “bump off”, or kill, people. Some other reports state that the nickname was actually “The Mad Bomber”, in relation to his knowledge of bomb making.
Yves Trudeau
Yves Trudeau Hells Angels – Popeyes MC
Towards the end of the 1960s he joined the Popeyes Motorcycle Club, who were the largest outlaw motorcycle club in Quebec and the overall the second largest outlaw motorcycle club in Canada.
Other prominent members of the club were Yves Buteau and Michel Langlois, both would go on to play senior roles in the Canadian based Hells Angels.
Yves Trudeau Hells Angels – Hells Angels MC
On 5 December, 1977 the Popeyes were patched over by the Hells Angels MC, making them the first Canadian chapter for the Hells Angels, based in Montreal. As part of the patching over process a number of the Popeyes members came across too, including Yves Trudeau, Yves Buteau and Michel Langlois.
A number of the members of the Montreal based Hells Angels, including Trudeau, left the chapter in September of 1979 and formed the Laval chapter. Laval is located in Southwestern Quebec, north of Montreal. This chapter would go on to become known as the “North” chapter of the Canadian Hells Angels.
Trudeau was allegedly the first of the Canadian Hells Angels members to earn the “Filthy Few” patch, for carrying out murders on behalf of the club.
On 24 March, 1985 he was in a rehab facility, which ended up being very lucky timing as five of the Hells Angels North chapter were killed as the result of Hells Angels in-fighting in the event that would become known as the Lennoxville Massacre. It is possible that if Trudeau were not in rehab he would have also been murdered, as he was meant to be at the meeting. While in the Oka, Quebec rehab facility he is visited by a member of the Montreal chapter and is advised that he has been expelled from the club and is to remove his Hells Angels tattoos immediately. The club take his motorcycle and request that he murder Jean-Marc Deniger and another man. He succeeds in the killing of Deniger and the club return his motorcycle.
Yves Trudeau

Trudeau is widely noted as the most prolific murderer in Hells Angels history, with an admitted 43 murders being carried out between September 1973 and July 1985. The tally of 43 murders consisted of 29 with guns, 10 with bombs, 3 by beating and one via strangulation.
The northern part of the Saint Lawrence River would be unofficially known as the “Hells Angels Graveyard”, for the number of bodies which were dumped over the years.
1970 – Trudeau shoots and kills Jean-Marie Viel in Trois-Rivières, a town located at the confluence of the Saint-Maurice and Saint Lawrence Rivers in the Mauricie administrative region of Quebec. Jean-Marie Viel was alleged to have stolen a motorcycle from the club.
1978 – 17 February, 1978. Trudeau shoots and kills Robert Côté at the corner of Saint-Hubert and Castelneau Streets at the Joey Brewery. This event then kicks off the war between the Hells Angels MC and the Outlaws MC.
1978 – 12 October, 1978. Trudeau tracks down Brian Powers, the former Outlaws MC President and finds him at his house. Apache Trudeau knocks on the door and when Powers answers he is shot nine times in the head with a .45 pistol.
1978 – 8 December, 1978. William Weichold is mistakenly identified as an Outlaws MC member by Yves Trudeau and he is killed.
1979 – 29 March, 1979. Trudeau bombs the car of Roland Dutemple, an Outlaws MC member. Dutemple was identified as being involved the 12 October, 1978 murder of multiple Hells Angels members in Montreal at the Tourbillon Café on Beaubien Street.

1980 – 11 February, 1980. Apache Trudeau beats to death Jeanne Desjardins, the mother of ex-Hells Angels member Andre Desjardins who was attempting to help her son. He then went on to murder Andre Desjardins and his girlfriend, Berthe Desjardins, disposing of the bodies of Andre and his girlfriend in the Saint Lawrence River.

1981 – 9 May, 1981. Trudeau kills Donat Lemieux and his girlfriend, Lucie Vallières, at their home in Rosemont.
1981 – 27 October, 1981. West End gangster Hugh McCurnagan is murdered by Apache Trudeau. The killing is carried out with a bomb planted in the victim’s Mercedes Benz vehicle. The motive is believed to have been retaliation ordered by Peter Frank “Dunie” Ryan, a West End Gang leader who had been defrauded by McCurnagan.
1982 – January, 1982. Trudeau kills Hells Angels North chapter member Charlie Hachez. Allegedly he had a heavy drug habit, was always high and owed $150,000 to West End Gang leader Dunie Ryan, as well as having conspired to kidnap Dunie Ryan’s children.
1983 – 7 May, 1983. Trudeau kills Andre Forget.
1983 – 7 July, 1983. Trudeau kills Ronald Bernard in North Montreal.
1983 – 15 July, 1983. Trudeau kills Michel Desormiers at his home located in the town of Deux-Montagnes. Desormiers was the brother-in-law of mob boss Frank Cotroni.
1983 – 10 October, 1983. Trudeau kills Raymond Filion at his home in Laval.
1984 – 24 November, 1984. Trudeau on 13 November had received an order to kill the murderers of West End Gang leader Dunie Ryan. On 24 November together with Michael Blass he places a time-delayed bomb on a television set which is delivered to apartment 917 at 1645 de Maisonneuve Boulevard West. The explosion kills Dunie Ryan’s murderers, Paul April and Robert Lelièvre, and also kills Louis Charles Paquette and Gilles Paquette, who were also inside the building at the time of the explosion.
1985 – 1 May, 1985. Trudeau kills Jean-Marc Deniger aka “La Grande Maw”, who was a drug dealer acquaintance of the Hells Angels North chapter.
1985 – 7 July, 1985. Trudeau is caught with illegal weapons and sentenced to one year in prison. It is at this point that he becomes a police informant. See the “Police Informant” section below.
2004 – 17 March, 2004. Trudeau is arrested and charged with sexually assaulting a minor. See “Prison Release & Child Sex Offences” below.
After turning police informant during his one year sentence for illegal weapons charges he becomes a very valuable asset to law enforcement. There is allegedly a $50,000 out on his head by the Hells Angels and he decides to turn informant.
In 1986 he makes a deal to plead guilty to 43 counts of involuntary manslaughter, even though many of the murders that he was involved in were highly planned and carried out by himself. As part of the plea deal he is sentenced to life in prison with a non-parole period of 7 years.
In the deal he names 95 murders, 34 of whom were dead at the time of the statement. His statements lead to 13 members of the Hells Angels being convicted of crimes.
In 1994 Trudeau receives an early release from prison and as part of his parole deal receives a new identify, going by the name of Denis Côté.
Upon release from prison he begins work at a series of odd jobs including working at an elderly care facility and driving a bus for mentally disabled people. In 2000 he finds himself out of work and begins a downwards slide, living off of welfare and unemployment insurance payments.
It is at this point that he once again begins his drug habit and sexually assaults a boy under the age of 14, which sees him convicted in 2004 and sent back to prison for 4 years. It is believed that the sexual assaults had been from September 2000 until February 2004. He pleads guilty to six counts of sexual exploitation, sexual interference, and invitation to sexual touching of a male victim under the age of 14.
In 2006 he is diagnosed with bone-marrow cancer and in 2008 granted an early parole with release to an outside medical facility.
